Installation

Install the Anfra CLI, set up your coding agent, and create a project

Anfra is a single binary. You don't need a daemon or a cloud account to get started.

Install the CLI

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/holistics/anfra/main/install.sh | bash

The installer downloads the latest release for your platform, places the anfra binary in ~/.anfra/bin, and prints the line to add it to your PATH.

Supported platforms: Linux (x64/arm64) and macOS (x64/arm64).

You can configure the installer with environment variables:

VariableDescriptionDefault
ANFRA_INSTALL_DIRDirectory to install the binary into~/.anfra/bin
ANFRA_VERSIONVersion to install, e.g. 0.1.0latest

For example:

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/holistics/anfra/main/install.sh | ANFRA_VERSION=0.1.0 bash

Update

anfra update # replace the binary with the latest release
anfra update --check # check for a newer release without installing

Set up your coding agent

anfra setup

This installs the build-anfra-app skill, which teaches your coding agent how to model data in AMQL and build apps with the Anfra SDK. Start a prompt with /build-anfra-app to use it.

Create a project

anfra init custom-bi
cd custom-bi/

See Project Structure for what gets generated, and the CLI reference for every command.
